Executive Biography

Experienced senior healthcare executive skilled in providing strategic leadership to advance crosscutting organizational reforms that strengthen service delivery, operational excellence, and accountability through the implementation of sustained improvements. Expertise in managing healthcare resources and large government and private assets to activate mission-oriented organizational change. Proficient negotiator skilled in building coalitions to gain consensus and agreement on high-profile, strategic executive matters. Strategic planning budget alignment and execution and leadership within the Senior Executive Services. Exercised transformative leadership of mission-based operations to achieve operational excellence. Spe​ar-heading the management of broad organizational change to align organizational strategy with compliance and risk assessment and mitigation. Formulating plans to shape organizational direction and advance clinical/healthcare quality. Coaching current and future executives to hone strategic perspectives and decision-making. Combine psychological and military leadership values and principles to shape positive work experience and outcomes and build organizational community. In my work in healthcare consulting, I have guided executive leadership for three national programs in programmatic strategy, budget, program design and implementation, and advanced operational excellence. My role achieved the goals of executing exceptional customer service and collaborative relationship building. The completion of the projects resulted in brilliant, high-impact programmatic and managerial solutions in the delivery of healthcare

services and benefits to veterans and their family. Key organizational leader testifying on multiple occasions before various Congressional Committees.

Mrs. Murray-Newby earned a Bachelor of Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. She is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at the UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill, NC, and the Federal Executive Institute Charlottesville, VA. She is a certified healthcare executive and Lifetime Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (LFACHE), Ms. Murray-Newby is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) with the National

Association of Healthcare Quality. Georgetown University Certificate Executive Leadership Coaching. Community service, education, and giving back have always been her top priorities. Mrs. Murray-Newby serves on the University System of Maryland Foundation Scholarship Board.
